About Dr Deschu

Dr Deschu is a medical Doctor with a background in General Practice, General Medicine and Health & Wellbeing. She has an impressive track record not just in Clinical Medicine, but also in Corporate Wellbeing.

Having worked in Sri Lanka and the UK. She also has an understanding of Eastern Practices and how they can be integrated into modern medicine. For this purpose, she works with Shobana Cooke, a former law student in the UK. Now a Yoga teacher in Sri Lanka who specialises in Reiki, Therapeutic Yoga, Yogic Lifestyle and Vedic Astrology.

Following a personal journey through Long Covid. Deschu has deepened her understanding of the brain and autonomic nervous system in relation to the part they play in preserving emotional, mental and physical wellness.

A personal practice of daily Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation along with a love for nature and African Wildlife. Has led her to believe that the way we live our life and the personal connection we have with nature, can aid in the healing journey.
